About Diana Ratliff

Photo of Diana RatliffDiana Ratliff is an author and entrepreneur with a passion for the power of the carefully-chosen word - and a passion for working smarter, not harder!

As her taglines indicate, she believes that marketing materials should work as hard as their owners do.

Former publisher of the Way to Grow Home Business Directory and the Way to Advertise newsletter, her experiences with new business owners led to a fascination with how small business owners market themselves.

Business Cards:
She first turned her attention to business cards. Diana noticed that many of her clients would order cheap, ugly cards and then somehow expect the world to beat a path to their doors. Her subsequent research led to write "Business Card Breakthroughs" and other articles and reports on business card marketing, including her controversial Business Card Printer Review.

As her experience broadened, so did her perspective on business cards.  She researched the larger context of networking, generating referrals and relationship marketing - all of which use business cards as tools - to find systems and strategies and other tools that make it easier to attract business.  Which led to the creation of this site, and a relationship with...

Send Out Cards:
In early 2008, Ratliff signed up as an Independent Distributor for web-based greeting card company Send Out Cards.  Send Out Cards allows people to send choose or create greeting cards online, which the company then prints, stuffs, stamps and mails.  Ratliff highly recommends Send Out Cards for anyone who wants a convenient, economical and versatile way to stay in touch with friends, colleagues or customers on a regular basis. Users can even earn commissions for referring this popular service to others, making it an ideal "Plan B" income opportunity as well.

Ratliff has also studied publicity, having received much media attention for a book about online shopping.  She came to the conclusion that trying to get offline publicity was a wonderful strategy for online marketers and subsequently wrote a book on that topic, too.

Ratliff considers herself fortunate to write on a variety of topics that interest her; other websites and ebooks include one about pet businesses.
